2023 Bar exam produces 3,812 new lawyers in PH

MANILA, Philippines — The 2023 Bar exam result is out and 3,812, or 36.77 percent, of the 10,387 examinees passed, the Supreme Court (SC) announced Tuesday.
The third digitalized examination was conducted on September 17, 20, and 24, 2022. The 2023 Bar test returned to the September schedule after 13 years.
The SC produced two batches of Bar passers in 2023. The successful 2022 Bar examinees took their oath and signed the Roll of Attorneys last May, while the successful 2023 Bar examinees will take their oath and sign the roll on December 22.

Bar Committee Chair and SC Associate Justice Ramon Paul Hernando said earlier that they targeted an early release of the result so that the successful examinees could start their practice immediately after the holidays.
A graduate of the University of Santo Tomas, Ephraim Porciuncula Bie, topped the Bar exams with a rating of 89.2625.
